HWY 120 Open

a friend of mine (this last Saturday - May 6, 2017) drove from Manteca to Oakdale, and there were two electronic signs along the way saying 120 to Yosemite was now open.

Caltrans is repairing the bridge over Don Pedro "lake", and there are nightly outages when you can't go on 120 to Yosemite, you've got to go around, and it's alternating one-way traffic at other times (like the bridge on 140). Look here: http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist9/road_con/Road_con.html

So maybe the sign was just saying that at that time, bridge was open.

Plus they reopened the Big Oak Flat Road which connects 120 to Yosemite Valley (opened May 1)

Alas, Evergreen Road was closed on Tuesday, when we tried to go to Hetch Hetchy...
