...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM THURSDAY TO
10 AM PST SATURDAY...
...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THURSDAY TO 1 PM PST
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow with periods of blizzard conditions expected.
Strong winds and heavy snowfall rates will cause whiteout
conditions with blowing snow. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4
feet in the Sierra, with localized amounts up to 5 feet along
the Sierra Crest. Up to a foot along and east of Highway 395 is
expected.

* WHERE...Mono County.

* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, from 4 AM Thursday to 10
AM PST Saturday. For the Blizzard Warning, from 10 AM Thursday
to 1 PM PST Friday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel will be very difficult to
impossible, especially Thursday afternoon into early Friday
afternoon. Be prepared for significant reductions in visibility
at times. Damage to at least some trees and power lines is
likely.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a life threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel!
Road crews and first responders may not be able to rescue you.
Stay indoors until the snow and wind subside. Even a short walk
could be deadly if you become disoriented. The latest road
conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
