Drive carefully and slowly this week as the first storm of the season passes through. Rainfall of 0.25 to 0.75 inches is predicted. Rain can bring down loose soils, rocks, and other debris in the Ferguson Fire. Pay extra caution between Cascade Falls Picnic Area to Sweetwater Creek on Highway 140/El Portal Road and between Grouse Creek and Chinquapin on Wawona Road. During periods of heavy rain, consider avoiding driving until the rain stops.
