Highway 140 closed at El Portal/Savages to Midpines due to a fire. Use highways 41 or 120 to enter/leave Yosemite.

Expect Highway 140 to remain closed overnight between El Portal (Savages) and Midpines.

Cal Fire has announced that Highway 140 between El Portal and Midpines will reopen today (Sunday, October 13) at 6 pm. Use caution: fire crews are still working in the area and rocks and other debris may roll onto the road.
