The NPS Eco-Restoration is looking for local individuals passionate about conservation and restoration to help with the Ahwahnee southwest meadow restoration project. Volunteers would assist in ensuring safety for visitors and staff during heavy equipment operations.
  • Time Commitment: 8 weeks / June - August 15th / Dates and times negotiable.
  • Shifts available: Mon- Thurs / 8AM-12PM or 1:30 - 4PM / All shifts TBD, email for dates.
  • Qualifications: Attentive to safety, can communicate with others, ability to stand/walk throughout the day, and additional points for knowing general locations in Yosemite Valley ( i.e. where Sentinel Bridge & Curry Village are).
  • Learn about: Principles of ecological restoration projects, what it takes to get one, and how it is done safely & different types of heavy equipment needed for restoration projects.
  • Benefits: Develop relationships with NPS Restoration staff, networking, learning more about professional restoration and other volunteer interests. Experience assisting in meadow restoration project and skills in Yosemite Valley to add to a resume.
