Integrated Utilities Phase 3a
(Water line from Lower Pines CG to the Ahwahnee)

On-site work has begun and will continue into the fall of 2009. The contractor is working on either side of, and on the south side of the Ahwahnee Bridge. The bike path on the west side of the bridge is closed during work hours, with pedestrian and bicycle traffic being detoured. Only Emergency vehicular traffic will be allowed on Thursday, 8/13/09. The bike path will be open the rest of the week, and the following week. The contractor is working on dewatering for the secondary channel crossing east of the Ahwahnee Bridge.

Lower Tecoya Housing Utilities

(Water, sewer and power lines throughout the Lower Tecoya Housing area) The project is being broken down into phases to occur during the summer and fall of 2009. Half Dome View Rehabilitation Granite stone work continues near the median. Work continues on the concrete pedestrian walkway. Work to start this week on the asphalt paving of the parking lot, and continue into next week. Flagging and diverting traffic into one lane on HWY 120, at the job site will be necessary during the paving operation.

Wawona Tunnel Ventilation Repair

Continued installation of the carbon monoxide analysis system. Continued work on emergency phone and traffic gate system.

Glacier Point Road Rehabilitation

Work continues on culverts and headwalls and is requiring traffic control on both Glacier Point Road and Wawona Road. Pilot cars will escort traffic from both ends of the project on the hour and half hour intervals. Please be cautious of trench plates and loose gravel at culvert crossings.
