Wildcat Fire Continuing Its Spread

Wildcat fire acreage is now at 1235.

Although the park is using "wilderness ethic" in allowing the fire to take its course. I wonder how the Tuolumne River Canyon is going to look with snags where trees used to be.

I think you have the wrong image of this fire. I wish I could find the diagram they had
at the permit station. My guess is that you will see little of the fire if you stay on the
trail. The article sucks IMO since it's "old" news and makes no mention of the
storm that rolled thru.
I wouldn't worry about "how it looks". Take a walk to Rancheria Falls... the whole
area to the north burned not too many years ago... Take a trip up Moraine ridge...
that area burned a couple years ago... Kibbie Ridge... same thing...
Nature works it out...
