Swinging Bridge Closure

The "Swinging Bridge" footbridge will be closed for decking and railing repairs from September 28 - October 22.

It certainly doesn't help when I'm doing this:

My passion is animal shots. Not long ago I was on the bridge filming (video) an American Dipper. I'd wanted to get one actually diving under water for some time; and of course, since you never know when they're going to do it, you just have to film them, and film them, and film....

Well I was on the Swinging Bridge, filming this American Dipper, when a bunch of heavy footed people came on the bridge causing my cam to shake so much that I just shut it off. Not 2 seconds after I shut it off, the Dipper I had been filming dived into the water!! Aaaarghh!

I constantly have to remind myself that I have no right to expect others to tiptoe around me.
