Yosemite has cables on half dome;
there are bears on the trail to half dome;
bears are repelled by bear spray;
sharks create spray when they jump;
batman tried to jump from bat cable and needed shark spray,
ergo half dome cables climb equals to batman episode.

No, but the users have plenty. The connection just wasn't that good.

Something like that. The cables provoked my memory of a batman movie. Actually, a while back it was someone, I think on this web board, or maybe it was Whitney, that provoked my memory because it was about a year and a half ago someone mentioned when the cables are down, if you want to climb them, you still can (since the cables aren't removed) and you can climb them like Batman. I really thought someone would remember that description.

Vince,

It's too early in the season for cabin fever. Our brains are not yet addled enough to make such connections.

Perhaps not. Obviously not.

The Half Dome Cables have been taken down for the season. The cables are taken down each fall and will be put up in the spring of 2010. Visitors are strongly advised against attempting to summit Half Dome without the cables in place as the rock under the cables is extremely slippery and may be wet and/or icy even in seemingly dry conditions.

I saw on my newsreader today that the LA Times claims the Half Dome Cables have been REMOVED. I wish they would get it right...the cables are never REMOVED (unless they need repair which they haven't).
