A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE SOUTHWARD ACROSS THE CENTRAL
CALIFORNIA INTERIOR LATE TONIGHT AND FOLLOWED BY STRONG WINDS AND
MUCH COOLER TEMPERATURES TUESDAY INTO TUESDAY NIGHT. TEMPERATURES
TUESDAY AFTERNOON WILL BE 15 TO 25 DEGREES COOLER THAN TODAY IN
MANY LOCATIONS. TEMPERATURES ON WEDNESDAY MORNING WILL BE IN THE
MIDDLE TO UPPER 30S IN THE NORTHERN SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY.

IN THE SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY...BLUSTERY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL GUST TO
40 MPH ON TUESDAY...ESPECIALLY ON THE WEST SIDE...WITH AREAS OF
BLOWING DUST AND POOR VISIBILITY.

IN THE KERN COUNTY MOUNTAINS AND DESERT...STRONG WESTERLY WINDS
WILL GUST TO 60 MPH OR HIGHER THROUGH AND BELOW THE PASSES TUESDAY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

STRONG NORTH TO NORTHEAST CANYON WINDS COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS
MONO WINDS MAY AFFECT THE SOUTHERN SIERRA NEVADA FROM LATE
TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING. LOCAL WIND GUSTS TO 70
MPH OR HIGHER ARE POSSIBLE IN SOUTHWEST FACING CANYONS DURING
THIS TIME.

WATCH FOR THE FOOTHILLS AND HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE SIERRA
NEVADA FROM YOSEMITE TO KINGS CANYON...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM
LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING.

VERY STRONG WINDS ALOFT BLOWING INTO THE SIERRA FROM THE NORTH AND
NORTHEAST WILL CREATE A THREAT OF DOWNSLOPING MONO WINDS TONIGHT
THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING. LOCALIZED NORTHEAST WINDS OF 30 TO 40
MPH WITH GUSTS TO OVER 70 MPH ARE POSSIBLE IN WIND PRONE CANYONS
AND OVER RIDGES. SOME LOCATIONS WHICH COULD BE IMPACTED INCLUDE
YOSEMITE VALLEY...BASS LAKE...AND THE OAKHURST AREA. OTHER CANYON
