Re: Badger Pass ski conditions

I know that Badger Pass doesn't open until Dec. 18. Does anyone know a site that I can find out the conditions?
I am thinking about going on the 21st or so. I don't want to drive from LA unless the snow is OK. I am not an advanced skier, but I like coverage on the slopes.

Here is a site that will give you the water content of some places around the park. Bear in mind that these numbers are water content and not depth of snow. At this time of year the depth is about 6X the water content sometimes 10X. In the spring the depth can run only 2X the inches of water. This storm coming in for the weekend should make for good conditions at Badger. I wouldn't worry.

Look at the numbers at Gin Flat as the elevation there is about the same as Badger Pass, actually about 500 lower at Gin Flat. Check the numbers again Sunday night and see how much snow has dumped over the weekend. Ostrander Lake might even be a better place to look.

Some of the sites have depth sensors as well. Just click on the site name below the graph.
