NEVADA AND HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE TEHACHAPI MOUNTAINS THROUGH
SUNDAY MORNING...

.THE NEXT IN A SERIES OF STORMS WILL MOVE INTO CENTRAL CALIFORNIA
THIS AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE INTO SUNDAY.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM PST SUNDAY...

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE SOUTHERN
SIERRA NEVADA REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM PST SUNDAY.

* TIMING: STEADY SNOWFALL WILL INCREASE LATE THIS MORNING AND
CONTINUE THROUGH MIDDAY SUNDAY. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL IS
EXPECTED THIS EVENING INTO SUNDAY MORNING.

* SNOW LEVELS: WILL BE NEAR 6000 FEET TODAY...THEN LOWER TO 5000
FEET TONIGHT AND POSSIBLY AS LOW AS 4000 TO 4500 FEET SUNDAY
MORNING.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION: ONE TO TWO FEET ABOVE 6000 FEET WITH
UP TO THREE FEET IN THE HIGH COUNTRY. THREE TO 6 INCHES WILL
BE POSSIBLE BETWEEN 4000 AND 4500 FEET SUNDAY.

* WINDS: VERY STRONG WEST WINDS OF 20 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60
MPH ARE EXPECTED ALONG AND NEAR THE CREST...CREATING
CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE
EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE. THIS WILL
MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.

Seems early for flooding.
As I recall, typical El Nino's produce springtime flooding in the Central Valley.

Some of the constant torrents/huge cell blasts are causing flash floods on the small creeks cum rivers around here.
