Don't know about that. I've seen some 8-12 person tents that look like they might barely fit in that, or at least would brush up against or even intrude into another site.

There's the MSR Board Room tent, with massive 12'x8' interior dimensions and a 6'10" peak height. It almost looks like a Quonset hut.

A "Mountain Manor 8" tent from The North Face seems to be pretty darn big.

has a Trail Weight of a mere 24 lbs 5 oz (11.03 kg).

Gee! An ideal weight for a group of 8-12 backpackers. One person carries the tent; others carry his or her other stuff. Smaller footprint than several tents. Just kidding.

Following up my own post, I looked at the description in more detail, and apparently it's a modular setup (almost like those Habitrail setups for hamsters) with assorted add-ons.

Then there's the MSR Screening Room 4, which can either be used to zip a no-see-um mesh into the Board Room, or as a (ahem) porch
