Billy got this a sent kit fur his bird day. Me tinks we safe now. Nut sure dough.
Prob. Missing some stuff. At least da bears no bother us.
Not sure what that itty bitty bottle o agua is useful for though. That's barely enough for me to drink.
Whistle is so good they had to put Deluxe twice. Dip and drink cuppy.
Lightweight spoontrowel. Space Agey Blankey. Good Stuffs

I was thinking that this outfit would ameliorate the fall risk, but certainly would help pass time while stuck in line because someone has "frozen" on the cables.

And they last as long as an MRE - forever. A friend of mine has a 15 year old Twinkie. It looks the same as the day he bought it.

I'm thinking, with the knife blade and saw teeth on opposing edges, the use as a paddle in an inflatable boat would be risky business. Also, they did not mention using it as a dinner plate, for crushing grapes during wine-making, any use as a dental tool, or for watch repair.

By the way, the reason that we call them flashlights (they are called torches in almost all of the rest of the world) is that batteries were originally so short-lived that these light sources were built with a momentary-contact button rather than a switch (so that the light was on only when the button was being pressed) in order to conserve power. One would only intermittently activate the light as they walked along rather than shining it continuously. I think that they stopped making the momentary-contact versions sometime around 1950.

They certainly still had the buttons on flashlights in the 50s. But there was also a slide switch.

The chrome plated Ray-O-Vac two D-Cell had a slide and button. We always thought the button was for sending Morse Code.
