It doesn't seem as if $20 would stretch far in today's vacation market, barely enough for two tickets on the Angel Island ferry or to see a 3-D movie. Yet $20 is enough to engage a carload of family or friends for seven days with earth-shattering scenery of rock, water and light; free transportation; guided walks; miles of trails; cultural venues; and a castle in the woods.

Sweet. Not only can you see all of the park on the roads but you can circumnavigate it too!

The other beauty of the ODC is that if you forget it it's only $10 for a new one and after a few OD lapses you have them scattered all over and will always have at least one with you.

It seems like the ODC should be MORE expensive.
OD's had many opportunities to visit the parks earlier in life that they squandered on education, family, and work; they are likely to use the bathroom facilities in the parks more frequently; they tend to obstruct traffic with their slow yet wreckless driving; and they tend to shed hair all over the park. (Speaking as an pre-OD myself)
