There was no mention of overnight parking restrictions.

Good news!

Will NPS normally post official "clearance" to things lke the Glen Aulin trail ... Lyell Canyon trail ....etc., etc. ... at some point?

Or can backpackers just go in and find out for themselves?

I know last season, early on, all they posted was that the Lyell Canyon trail was wet and muddy in lots of spots (though I didn't find it quite so, when I went through it, right after it opened).

Probably everything is wetter .. muddier ... soggier this June/July that last year(s).

They only post after someone goes there.... and they come back and tell them.
