So I've just packed up my bear can for our 7 day backpack in Yosemite and there is no room for the whiskey! Is it okay to leave it out, or will we have a drunken bear stumbling around our camp?

Well shoot! That's not what I wanted to hear! Is that the case even if the bottle is sealed?

I found a 2 C cell flashlight that a bear had sunk its fangs through looking to see if anything good was inside. It still worked though. A ranger friend had a bear break into the ranger cabin at Lake Eleanor and sample each of the books in his library with its fangs looking for something to ooze out. Nothing will go untested.
