drove through the valley on Sunday... man was it packed!!!! from Cathedral Beach, all the way to the main grocery store, it was bumper to bumper ... i was surprised to find Bridaveil Falls still flowing... Upper Yosemite Falls was dry as a bone though. also surprised to see the valley meadows still green, i thought they'd be dried up by now, but i guess they've gotten enough water to stay green.

i talked to a Ranger at Crane Flat Campground who told me bear activity was WAY up so to be careful.. he also said a mountain lion was recently seen in the campground area, first time i have personally ever heard of anyone claiming to see a mountain lion in Yosemite as of late.

anyone coming from Hwy 120, Old Priest Grade Road is still closed.

Now you know why I try very hard to not work on holiday weekends. I don't want to be stuck in that traffic.

It's not ephemeral. Flows all year.
