Novice Question - re: Campfires
September 24, 2010 04:29PM
Hello all,

Thanks for being so helpful with my previous questions. My trip to Yosemite is tomorrow. I'm flying in, so obviously I won't be able to bring firewood. I'm staying at Upper Pines campground. If I want to build a fire there what resources are available there for me to take/purchase so I can have a fire in my pit? Thanks everyone in advance,

IR

They sell firewood in the store in Curry Village, as well as Yosemite Village. About 8 bucks I think.

No reason to have a campfire in the valley for the next week.
The nighttime low temperatures are predicted to be in the mid-50s and the moon is just past full.

Thanks! I was thinking more for roasting marshmallows and using it to heat the skillet I'm bringing with me to reheat some vacuum packed foods.

It could be 100 degrees and I'd still have a campfire.
