Was looking at the wilderness page:
http://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/wildcond.htm
and saw this:
"The trail to Rancheria Falls (beyond Wapama Falls) is closed because the bridge was taken
out by storms in late October. There is no estimated date for reopening."
Interesting. I would not think that the bridge over Tiltill would be taken out since it wasn't
affected when sections of the Wapama bridge were taken out many years ago
in a Pineapple express storm. Although there are 2 bridges... perhaps it is the first one
which is set more in... but doubtful since the stream it passes over does not have
much input. Wondering if there is a big metal bridge laying 200 ft. down in Tiltill Creek
now... makes me want to go look...
Another note.. :
I love what they wrote regarding wilderness travel in October. It's what I've been
saying ... just quite a bit more eloquently...
