New for the 2011 season* The Yosemite Conservancy is proud to announce a new opening date for the Wilderness Permit Reservation Office. In past years the reservation office opened in early January. This season we will reopen November 29, 2010, and begin processing reservations for Ostrander Ski Hut and wilderness permits by phone, fax and mail: Monday-Friday, 8:30 to 4:30.

Operating Season for Ostrander Ski Hut is December 19, 2010 – April 2, 2011. The lottery will be held November 22, 2010. Requests must be received by the Yosemite Conservancy no later than 4pm on November 19, 2010. Lottery request forms are available at the website: http://www.yosemiteconservancy.org/sites/default/files/useruploads/Ostrander%20Lottery%20Request%202010.pdf or at the Valley Visitor’s Center. Beginning November 29, 2010, the remaining available dates can be reserved by phone, (209) 372 - 0740, Monday-Friday, 8:30 to 4:30.

Overnight rates were increase by $2 a night to fund the extended reservation season.

• Weekday nights (Monday – Thursday) - $32/person/night ($22 for YC donors)
• Weekend nights (Friday – Sunday)      - $52/person/night ($42 for YC donors)
• Weekday nights youth rate, 25 years and younger  (Monday – Thursday) - $15/person/night
• Weekday nights local’s rate* (Monday – Thursday) - $15/person/night  

* The Conservancy wants to encourage the local community to experience the grandeur of Yosemite’s wilderness in the winter. The Yosemite park employee rate of $15.00 is available on weekday nights (Mon-Thurs). YC employees may stay at the hut free of charge on available nights.
