...Winter weather advisory in effect from 10 am tuesday to 4 am
Pst wednesday above 7000 feet...

The national weather service in hanford has issued a winter
Weather advisory above 7000 feet for snow and strong winds
...Which is in effect from 10 am tuesday to 4 am pst wednesday
For the southern sierra nevada from yosemite to kings canyon.

* snow accumulations: snow amounts from 4 to 8 inches with some
Higher amounts of up to one foot along the crest.

* elevation: above 7000 feet.

* timing: snow will start out tuesday morning and become heavier
By tuesday evening...With the heaviest snow around midnight.

* locations include: mainly the high country of the southern
Sierra across the yosemite national park and the sierra national
Forrest.

* winds: southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 70 mph along the crest.

* impacts: outdoor enthusiasts including campers and hikers will
See rapidly changing weather conditions on tuesday in the high
Country.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow and strong
Winds are possible.

No hazardous weather is expected.

The national weather service in hanford has issued a winter weather
Advisory...Which is in effect from 10 am pst tuesday to 4 am

This will be the first in a series of pacific systems that will
