New Acting Forest Supervisor Named for the Inyo National Forest

Jon Regelbrugge, currently the District Ranger for the Mammoth and Mono Lake Ranger Districts, has been named as the new Acting Forest Supervisor for the Inyo National Forest. Regelbrugge is expected to serve as Acting Forest Supervisor until a new permanent Forest Supervisor has been selected.

Regelbrugge has assumed leadership of the Forest behind Kit Mullen, who served as the Acting Forest Supervisor since October, 2010. After exhausting the time limit for temporary promotions, Mullen recently returned to her position as District Ranger for the Hat Creek Ranger District of the Lassen National Forest, where she has worked for four years.

Regelbrugge has been District Ranger for the Mammoth and Mono Lake Ranger Districts of the Inyo National Forest since 2006. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Science in Forest Resource Management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Prior to coming to the Inyo National Forest in 2006, Jon worked as an Ecologist in Forest Service Research in Riverside, California, and on the San Bernardino National Forest as Lands and Resource Officer, Vegetation Management Specialist, and Deputy District Ranger.
