...Storm system to bring much cooler temperatures later this week...

This hazardous weather outlook is for all of interior central
California.

.Day one...Today and tonight

No hazardous weather is expected.

.Days two through seven...Tuesday through sunday

After a brief period of mild temperatures typical of early
Spring...Another low pressure system will move over the area on
Thursday and friday. At this time...This system is not likely to
Bring much moisture...Scattered showers are expected mainly in the
Higher terrain. However...This system will bring much cooler
Temperatures...Possibly around 10 to 15 degrees below average for
Early april. Snow levels could fall to around 3000 to 4000 feet by
Friday morning. However...Any snow accumulations would generally
Be light and perhaps reach up to a few inches at the highest
Elevations along the crest of the sierra nevada.

Skywarn spotter activation is not anticipated.

Weather spotters are encouraged to report any significant or
Unusual conditions to the national weather service.

.A winter-like storm will move into the central california
Interior tonight and spread rain and mountain snow southward
Overnight and into thursday.

...Winter weather advisory remains in effect from 1 am to 5 pm
Pdt thursday...

A winter weather advisory remains in effect from 1 am to 5 pm pdt
Thursday for the southern sierra nevada from yosemite to kings
Canyon.

* snow accumulations: 6 to 9 inches above 4000 feet...And 12 to 16
Inches above 6000 feet.

* elevation:elevation: snow level will start out around 4500 feet
Tonight...Then lower to the foothills by thursday afternoon.

* timing: snow will begin this evening. The heaviest snow will
Begin after midnight and continue through thursday.

* locations include: shaver lake...Yosemite valley...Wawona...Fish
Camp

* winds: gusts up to 75 mph over the high country will cause
Blowing and drifting of snow.

* impacts: snow may make roads impassable...Especially in the
Higher elevations. Be prepared for road closures or delays.
Consider postponing travel until conditions improve.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow will cause
Travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited
Visibilities...And use caution while driving.
