...A cool pacific storm to impact the area tonight and
Wednesday...

A slow moving and unusually strong pacific weather system will
Move into california tonight and early wednesday.

There will be a chance of showers...Mainly from fresno county
North with the best chance in the sierra from huntington lake to
Yosemite park. There is also a slight chance of thunderstorms as
The cold front moves through late tonight and again wednesday
Afternoon over and near the sierra foothills.

Rainfall will range from a few hundredths in the valley to a
Quarter to half inch in and around yosemite. Snow levels will
Mostly be above 10000 feet...But briefly lower 8500 or 9000 feet
Wednesday morning. One to three inches of snow will be possible in
The highest elevations.

Temperatures on wednesday will be much cooler...With valley highs
In the upper 70s...To mid 80s...Which is 10 to 15 degrees below
Normal. If you like warmer weather...Not to worry...As
Temperatures will quickly rebound by the upcoming holiday weekend.
Valley readings are expected to hit the 100 degree mark again by
Saturday.

People with travel plans to the sierra nevada this evening through
Wednesday should be prepared for cool and possibly unsettled
Weather...With a wintry mix highest elevations.
