Re: Crane Flat Campground

Crane Flat Campground will be open this Friday through Tuesday, first-come, first-served.

Only till Tuesday? Or after that it is reservable?

The Yosemite NP facebook page says that the Crane Flat CG will actually close on Tuesday.

After that it is closed.

Crane Flat is now a 100% reserved campground. (It once was a 50/50 campground like Tuolumne Meadows campground).

So I'm presuming that the earliest day that the Park Service has allowed people to book for Crane Flat this year is for this upcoming Tuesday. Hence, first-come, first-served until Tuesday.

So it sounds like the campground will just be open for this weekend, and then will probably be closed until the 15th. But watch the NPS website and the Facebook pages!

Or more importantly, start searching again on recreation.gov to see if any openings pop-up for Crane Flat for before July 15th.

It's open just for the holiday weekend and then closed for some repair work.

The closure after the weekend is for completion of micro-sealing of the campground roads.
