The iPhone app that the photographer is using to calculate the path of the full moon is called Moon Seeker. It's available for download at the Apple iPhone AppStore for $1.99.

Just a quick question about this video. At the very beginning of it, the filmmaker, Steve Bumgardner, is setting up at a location midway up the side of the mountain to shoot Cascade Fall. He doesn't look to be on any sort of trail. Does anyone know the location of the ledge his is on, and how he probably hiked to it?

I presume it's the portion of Cascades Fall between Big Oak Flat Road and El Portal Road. Is it easier to park at the Picnic Area below the fall on El Portal Road and hike up, or is it easier to park at the roadside pullouts on Big Oak Flat Road and hike down?

Just wondering for future reference.
