Residual fuels from the Hodgdon Prescribed Fire of July 10 are still smoldering and creeping through an unburned island of standing dead trees, down logs and duff. In an effort to reduce long term smoke impacts, Yosemite firefighters will conduct a 30 acre burning operation within the Hodgdon fire perimeter, today, 8/16. It is anticipated it will take one day to complete. The project is in cooperation with the Tuolumne County Air Pollution Control District.
