Ralph Wiggum, Simpson's cartoon character, eats paste. I try not to.

Scary what they put into food now. I am allergic to soy so my Twinkie eating days are over since they started putting soy in them. Since I have heard that they last forever, does anyone have a older Twinkie, before they added soy, that I can have?

I'm not much of a Twinkie aficionado, but I sure do like Hostess fruit pies!
From any of the stores in the Valley, good around the campfire at night! smiling smiley

I agree. I should have added to my earlier post "good around the campfire...with some single malt scotch".

These are good also (especially the Coconut). I don't know whom Mrs. Redd is, but I think I'm in love with her!grinning smiley

So you prefer the HostessĀ® pudding pies over their fruit pies?
avatar Re: Twinkies
August 24, 2011 04:11PM
No. I like the Apple Pies the best (I'm sure I have a picture of one of those too) (for sure at Benson Lake) (if you'd like to see).
The Pudding Pie has some special meaning to me... that's all.. It's a birthday thing.
I wanta a homemade puddin pie for my birthday. So on a couple of "solo" trips the wifie bought
the Hostess Pudding Pies for me... and I just take too many pictures. tongue sticking out smiley

HostessĀ® cherry pies were my favoriate, followed by the blueberry pies, and then the apple pies. Those were my top three! Didn't really care for HostessĀ® lemon pies, though. And I thought their chocolate pies were a bit gross. But that's because I have always been a bit a of a chocolate connoisseur, even as a kid. smiling smiley

Those pies are VERY bad for you. Check the fat content, 20 grams at least.

What makes those pies unhealthy isn't their fat content, it's their sugar content: 38 grams of sugar!

(People should restrict their sugar intake to no more than 30 grams per day.)

That's just a little less than 1/4 cup or about one 12oz can of soda. How is one supposed to live on that!!
