From here

"Fire crews are battling a 120-acre fire that developed Thursday afternoon in the Merced River canyon near Briceburg in Mariposa County. The fire started near the location of the temporary bridge built after the 2006 Ferguson Rock Slide.
Fire officials believe the fire was started by a motorhome.
Highway 140 is closed east of Mariposa. Visitors to Yosemite should use highways 120 or 41"

The latest I saw was that the fire had grown to over 1000 acres in a few hours. I have a bad feeling about this fire. It's on both sides of the river. The lookout on Trumbull Peak, across from the Cedar Lodge, is threatened. I heard that Savage's is also threatened. I think they're calling it the "Motor Fire." Expect 140 to be closed for several days.
