Re: Campsites opening up next week

Just for the heck of it I scanned Yosemite campsites that are open early next week. Was shocked to see so many open for early next week. Obviously sites are being put back on the system when canceled.

When I looked Monday on sites for last night (Wednesday) there were at least 8 open. I managed to snag one at Hogdon Meadows, but there were also openings at Upper and Lower Pines and Crane Flat.

Now that schools in california open in mid-August, campsites seem to be pretty easy to get in Yosemite. We found last year that we could get a FCFS site at Tuolumne Meadows on a Tuesday in late August at about noon.....pretty amazing when you think about it!
