Name that Peak

On September 22 we hiked to Echo Ridge. We experienced the best 360 degree panoramic views yet. For us older types, it was a strenuous hike, more so than Peak 10450. The lower Cathedral Lake meadow is now crossable without wading and the mosquitos were less but still there. No mosquitos away from the lake. I got lots of great pictures but I can't identify all the peaks I could see. Maybe someone can help. Is there a resource somewhere to help identify the peaks? I've attached an image below with the peaks numbered that I'd like to identify. Some I know.

1 - Mt. Dana?
2 - ???
3 - ???
4 - Cockscomb
5 - ???
6 - ???
7 - Echo Peaks

Another identification question. There is a dome just to the northeast of Medlicott Dome and rises above the east end of the second Medlicott lake. What is the name of that dome?

I'l take a stab at it...
1. Dana
2. Unicorn
3. Johnson
4. Cockscomb
5. Echo Ridge?
6. Matthes Crest
7. Echo Peaks

Gosh I love this area. Trying to get some time off to backpack here in Sept or Oct. Crossing fingers.

Not sure exactly where this was taken from---is there something specifically called Echo Ridge? Or did you just climb up out of TM towards Echo Peaks?

At any rate, I think you'll find that 2,3 and 4 are all part of the same ridge, 4 the Cockscomb, and then 3 is Unicorn Peak...and 2 is just the north buttress of Unicorn Peak. Just the other side of 2 & 3 is Elizabeth Lake...

5 is the just ridge that is part of Echo Peaks...the eastern summit, if you want.

And I think that 6 might be the very tip of Mathes Crest peeking (peaking?) through a low point on Echo Peaks.

Thanks! Yes, we were on the high part between Echo Peaks and Cathedral Peaks but if that's considered part of the saddle then okay. I thought the saddle was the lowest point and was told the higher part was Echo Ridge. There's a lot of mis-information floating around. Unicorn sure doesn't look like a unicorn. Maybe from another direction?

Learning all these names is a daunting task.

If you say "Echo Ridge" then it should refer to the Peak 11,168.
Go figure. It's actually the most prominent feature you see
called Echo Peaks when looking at it from Glacier Pt.
Why it doesn't have a better name ... beats me.

Unicorn looks like a unicorn from Tuolumne Meadows.

Having been through there recently, this was an interesting exercise. Your site has amazing photos, Chuck -- thanks for sharing!

It also helped identify the prominent feature between Clouds Rest and the LH margin in the Sentinel-cam view
