Looks like the amount I see in normal snowfall years in around the first week of August.

Yes it is. We fondly refer to it as "Yosemite Stain" or "Yosemite Wall' when it does not have water going over.

It could possibly not dry up this year, though I think that mostly depends if we have an early season storm. Anyone know if that has happened before? The big snow years of 1998 and 1983 would be my guesses if it has.

In 2006 it was pretty darn dried up in early November. (2006 is earliest big snow year in my noggin)
(had only been going to the park a couple of years in 98) (and no camera)
and... in 83... uh... I was in HS

It was dry by this time in 2005 & 2006

I wasn't around either in those years either so I wouldn't know, just curious. It is neat to see if still flowing though.

This was from the 8th. Yesterday the flow increased slightly due to the sudden rainfall early afternoon, while I was climbing up to Sierra Point.

Rainfall + thunderclaps = abandoning Sierra Pt about 2/3 way up. Was concerned things would get too slick on the way down.

I gotta remember to bring some trimmers/clippers for OMG. Someone's gotta do it, no? *smirk*
