I just wanted to wish all you crazy people out there a Happy Halloween.

I won best costume:

Have a nice day

(and The Loft Za is far superior to Curry Za)
(I hear the "meat" on Curry Za is actually Marmut)
(at least that is what a very kind and cute Pink Bird told me)

It's true.
We supply the meat to them.
We have to do something with the InvasiveChikinPests that we catch in our traps.
We know that it smells really bad... but DNC doesn't care.

(Bewitchingly Yours)
The Marmots

P.S. We TOLD the chikin that nobody would be able to tell that he was in costume if he dressed up as a clown.

Are these guys endangered? There was no intent to upset anyone, just having some fun. It looks like a turkey at first glance - at least the stuffed doll does.

And those Kiwi's might be spunky... but they shore dew get lost a lot.
I've saved so many of those turkeys in Yosemite.

Threatened would probably be a more accurate label.

Just trying to save you a trip to the ER to get stitched back up.

FYI: turkeys look like chickens... except that they are pink.

On the topic of Halloween and costumes: I've considered putting on all my hiking clothes and gear and being a "hiker" for Halloween. It would be quite a costume in these parts...

Uh. We actually went as backpackers one year. Boy was it a stretch.

I think you're better off following the Kiwi's lead.

wink

(ok ok... it would be just as lame)

Wow. I'm wondering how you even found this thread.
Thanks for making my day. (didn't see it yesterday)

Gonna have to get Little Beakie up to Marmut Rock this Halloween for my,
what is becoming annual, trek to it in honor of Dr. Len.
Prob. take it easier this year and just head straight for Youngs from Tioga Pass.
