Re: Hetch Hetchy Construction

Hetch Hetchy Water and Power is starting today to construct a communications tower at Poopenaut Pass within Yosemite National Park. The new wireless communications site will improve internal communications at their facilities within the park. They expect to work on the site this fall and winter until weather conditions suspend construction for the season. The tower and equipment shelter will be installed next summer. Visitors and staff should expect minor delays along the Hetch Hetchy Road as equipment is delivered to the site and utility connections are made.
