I've seen it a million times, and was experimenting with a monster 270mm f/2.8 prime lens over the weekend, so I could finally get up close and personal with it. It's in either the West Ridge Wall, El Cap Gully or, if you prefer, the East Ridge Wall, Ribbon Falls Amphitheater. The rock face at frame right is the western face of El Capitan.

Rock Climbing community probably has a name for it. Maybe search on supertopo.
My guess... and what I think it should be called... is...
K P Gully
since that's K P Pinnacle on the left and then to left of K P is El Cap Gully
I clicked on your link above.. and it said private... so dunno if you have more you wanted to share or?

I'm just yoking... uh...
Just poked around for a second... that gully is West Chimney not K P.
I was confused at what you were asking because you didn't just say
this notch thingy is on K P Pinnacle. I doubt it has any name.
There are a zillion features around the valley that are not named.
But thanks for showing it... Will look for it sometime. Most people
look at El Cap and with the lighting completely miss that there
is a Pinnacle there. Heck, I couldn't point out Split Pinnacle.
