I think its cool the way water tracks look when they've frozen on granite, even though they may be flowing underneath, the surface of the ice really seems to capture a sense of 'arrested motion'.

I was somewhat less amused having to avoid them going to the Kendrick lakes, I'd guessed that normally it'd just be a linear puddle, but ice on granite would be a guaranteed way to take a long fast unwelcome ride.

No humanbean would want to get any where near that ice slick. Zero to sixty in 40 feet with lots of trees to stop you at the bottom..

But what harm could it do to a small pink chicken? Chick-on is looking at you!

I'm pretty confident the chick-on would remain pink.

But having Bill-e-g go after him and fetch his little friend after the chick-on's escapade might make Bill-e-g all black & blue. wink

Sort of funny thing ... as we got to where I went off trail... Old Dude and I
had conversation "who would go that way?" "why'd you go that way?"
... well... thataway kicked butt... although I'm certain if some people
followed that way with packs I'd get the usual "you led us THERE?!".
