...Much cooler weather on the way...

A dry cold front will move southward across the district saturday
Morning. In its wake...Gusty winds can be expected along the west
Side of the san joaquin valley saturday afternoon with areas of
Blowing dust. Otherwise...Temperatures will trend much cooler this
Weekend and end up slightly below normal by sunday.

Our weather will become even colder sunday night and monday as a
Storm system originating in the gulf of alaska moves into central
California. This storm will bring a slight chance of showers to
The district monday along with unseasonably chilly temperatures.
Although only light precipitation is currently expected from this
Storm system...Snow levels could be as low as 3000 feet by monday
Morning with the potential for wintry travel conditions in the
Foothills and at pass level through the grapevine.

...Much cooler weather...

A dry cold front has moved southeast across the region early this
Morning. In its wake...Temperatures today will be some 10 to 15
Degrees lower than yesterday. Gusty winds up to 30 mph can be
Expected on the west side of the san joaquin valley this
Afternoon...And areas of blowing dust and reduced visibilities are
Possible. Gusty winds up to 35 mph are also possible through and
Below wind favored passes and canyons in the tehachapi mountains.

Another cold front will move across the region monday. This front
Will bring even cooler temperatures to central california...Along
With scattered showers. The snow level monday will lower to near
2000 feet around yosemite...To about 3000 feet in the kern county
Mountains. Even in the high desert...The showers could briefly mix
With or change to snow...Especially over higher terrain.

Snow accumulations monday will be light...Ranging from just a
Dusting to possibly 1 or 2 inches in more persistent showers.
While no significant travel problems are expected at this
Time...Any accumulating snow on the grapevine or tehachapi pass
Could slow things down a bit.

If you have travel plans monday...Especially to or from southern
California...Be sure to check the latest weather and road
Conditions over the passes before departing.
