Wifey decided to nap all afternoon while I hiked up a couple miles upstream and back...
She didn't buy the "Hetch Hetchy Dome" only looks far ...
btw... I know where you are talking about the "route" w/r to Shaffer... I would rec. actually going further up ... to where
the trail is the furthest east... then head over... it's a simple xcountry from there imo.
Been to/and/or fro 5 times now... and that is the simplest route.
If you go 2 and bit upstream a great CCC gorge
