The national weather service in hanford has issued a winter storm
Warning for heavy snow and strong winds...Which is in effect from
2 am wednesday to 2 am pst thursday for the southern sierra nevada
From yosemite to kings canyon.
* snow accumulations: 1 to 2 feet.
* timing: 2 am wednesday to 2 am thursday pst.
* locations include: shaver lake...Yosemite valley
* winds: south winds 25 to 30 mph with gusts to around 60
Mph...Southwest 50 to 70 mph with gusts to around 110 mph over
Higher elevations.
* impacts: high impact area will be the yosemite valley floor.
Accumulating snowfall will make travel very difficult in the
Park. Roads leading into and out of th yosemite national park
Will be dangerous.

A winter storm warning means significant amounts of snow...
