Great news about the 4 mile trail opening. What about conditions on the Pohono? Was considering a Pohono to 4 Mile shuttle hike and don't want to deal with snow on the trail...

The pink flamingo was right when he warned me two weeks ago. There was still quite a bit of snow, which altered my Dewey/South Rim plans.

Rule #723 - If I can see snow from a way over here... there is plenty of snow still way over there.
(it will be interesting to see how many go heading to Tuolumne this coming weekend
thinking there will be no snow)

As for Pohono it's melting fast. I'd expect some patchy spots but it shouldn't stop many now.
What was covered in snow two weekends ago now is bare... I'd go for it.
