Tamarack Flat Campground Opening

Tamarack Flat Campground will open for the season on Thursday, May 24, 2012. However, It will be closed for an American Indian cultural and spiritual event from June 8th through June 17th and reopen to the public on June 18th.

Wait, what? Do you mean that they just got all the campsites for ten days, or that the entrance road and trailhead and parking area and Devils Dance Floor are also closed?

What is a "spiritual event"? Could I have one, too?....
