Are people going to be trapped in Tamarack Flat CG? I forget when it opens, tonight?

I was driving in this though lower down and my own little videoclip (18 seconds) shows what it was like for a driver expecting May weather :-)

At 5:34 when I took the videoclip, I was at this point and it was the first time I was actually aware it was snowing.

I went a bit further up, where you turn off to go up to Glacier Point. And this is what the snow looked there:

It was a bit disorienting :-) But it was also gorgeous to me. I turned around there, as my car was not exactly equipped for this.

The park's FB page reports that Tioga Road has now reopened:
"The Tioga Road has re-opened! Road conditions remain wet and it may be lightly snowing in some areas throughout the afternoon, so please use extreme caution while driving. Call 209/372-0200 for updated road conditions."

Ebbetts Pass is open as well. Sonora remains closed at this point.
