avatar Red Peak Pass Conditions?

Hey everyone, I imagine the North side of the pass is mostly snow free by now but I would be interested in any reports if anyone has been over in that area recently. Thinking about heading out there next week.

Thanks

Chris

I will be there next Saturday morning and plan to return home by Tuesday night - I can tell you what it looks like then but it may be too late for you - Chick-on was just around by there and maybe he had a view of the pass - Right now I wouldn't be surprised if there was or wasn't snow up there - 50-50 in my opinion.

There will be no snow going up the Pass from Ottoway.
It's just ridiculous how little snow there is.
You can get an idea by looking at the few photos here:

If that doesn't make you happy... perhaps this one will:

Taken June 17th.

Way on the right... there the Pass is... Even the Merced Glacier already looks pretty pathetic.
Check it out if you drive to Glacier Pt. At the "Mt. Clark View" turnout just beyond Mono Meadow...
look over yonder... and there is Merced Peak and the Glacier... below there is Ottoway...

Chick-on is looking at you!
