Lower Pines Campground will close for the season on October 29, 2012. North Pines Campground will close for the season on November 5, 2012.

Annually I take the Grand-kids to Lower Pines for 4 nights during their Spring Break, usually Sun-Thur. I have my calendar marked for Thur. Nov. 15, as that is when the reservation window opens for Mar14-Apr15. For 'kicks' I went into Rec.gov and put in their Spring Break dates for Lower Pines, and it shows the campground not opening until Tues. Mar 30. Does anyone know if this is firm? I see that Upper Pines starts reservations on Mar. 15, so we may have to go there instead ;-(
