I think the highest price for gasoline to be found inside a National Park in California is at the Chevron station at Furnace Creek in Death Valley (though technically, I think the Chevron station is on an in-holding owned by Xanterra, as is the adjacent Furnace Creek Ranch & Golf Course).

Over Thanksgiving Weekend...Furnace Creek Chevron: $5.349/gal. Panamint Springs: $5.989/gal. Both inside the park, though I think neither are concessionaires.

Since it is part of the Park's concessions, the gasoline at Stove Pipe Wells is the least expensive within Death Valley National Park.

Yep, I topped off my tank at $4.39 (no tents). However, it looked like they only sold 87 octane, fine for me, perhaps not for everyone.

$4.19 in Bishop. $4.12 in Fort Independence.

Yea, the station looked deserted to me too. If you need it, what can you do? Just don't get more than a few gallons. Fill-up again at Oakdale or something.
