.A PACIFIC STORM WILL MOVE INTO CENTRAL CALIFORNIA LATE TUESDAY
NIGHT. RAIN AND HIGHER ELEVATION SNOW WILL BEGIN BY DAYBREAK
WEDNESDAY...CHANGING INTO MAINLY SNOW BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AS THE
SNOW LEVEL LOWERS TO AROUND 3500 FEET.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM WEDNESDAY TO 4 PM
PST THURSDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HANFORD HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND STRONG WINDS...WHICH IS IN EFFECT
FROM 6 AM WEDNESDAY TO 4 PM PST THURSDAY FOR THE SOUTHERN SIERRA
NEVADA FROM YOSEMITE TO KINGS CANYON.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: THREE OR FOUR INCHES OF SNOW POSSIBLE ON
THE YOSEMITE VALLEY FLOOR AND SIX TO EIGHT INCHES OVER THE
HIGHER ELEVATIONS.


* ELEVATION: AT AND ABOVE 4000 FEET.

* TIMING: RAIN AND HIGHER ELEVATION SNOW WILL BEGIN BY DAYBREAK
WEDNESDAY...CHANGING INTO MAINLY SNOW BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
AS THE SNOW LEVEL LOWERS TO AROUND 3500 FEET.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: SHAVER LAKE...YOSEMITE VALLEY.

* WINDS: SOUTH WINDS AROUND 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 50
MPH...SOUTHWEST 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 75 MPH OVER
HIGHER ELEVATIONS.

* IMPACTS: SNOW MAY CAUSE DELAYS OR ROAD CLOSURES. GUSTY WINDS MAY
CAUSE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WITH REDUCED VISIBILITIES.
