Badger Pass Cross Country operations will open for the season this Saturday, December 15, 2012. Trail conditions are excellent after 12" of new snow yesterday. Rentals will be available commencing at 8:30 a.m. and will need to be returned by 4:00 p.m. Food service is limited to snack food and drinks. Downhill operations will open later - Hopefully with the next substantial snowfall. Call 372-8430 for updated info.

The Glacier Point Road to Badger Pass just opened, so come on up and get out skiing or snowshoeing. It is beautiful up here, with 5" of fresh, cold powder overnight. What a great opening day for Nordic. We groomed the road out to Glacier Point on Thursday morning. There was coverage the entire way, but it was very thin in places. The coverage off of the road is going to be extremely variable, with many barely covered hidden obstacles and hazards. Be careful out there. The skiing on the GP Road is excellent, with 5" of fresh on the packed trail. No food service. Snacks and drinks are available. No free shuttle service until the downhill operations start.
