Snowshoeing Day Treks

I will be in the park just before New Years and I am looking for suggestions for a good snowshoe trek. Last year we did Dewey Point, but didn't need snowshoes -- there was very little snow anywhere.

You'll need snow shoes for Dewey point this year for sure.

The sequoia groves make good snowshoe trips. We do Mariposa grove every January.

Thanks. Good suggestion. Should be peaceful and beautiful after these storms.

Be conservative about terrain, avalanches have been an issue in the Sierra lately (at least 3 with injuries or deaths at Tahoe area ski resorts, one each at Squaw, Alpine, and Donner). And have fun! (I second the Mariposa Grove suggestion)
