Nice, thanks. I like the Dewey Pt. one, to me at least these seem to benefit from the sense of wide space with being at a place like that.

Not a fancy-schmancy Photosynth, but for comparison this was taken from Dewey Point on New Years Eve, which was more or less the end of winter :-(

Crocker Point #1 is my favorite. Great shot of the Bridal, and it's fun following the old road through the Rockslides area.

Thanks for these.

They're all really really nice. It's great how high resolution they are. But I agree with you, the Artist Point photosynth is the nicest of the set.

Yosemite Falls

I mentioned in another thread that Google now offers Photo Sphere™ capability on selected smartphones running version 4.2 of their Android O.S.

Here are a couple of Photo Sphere photos that I took last Saturday:

You can probably install some Windows Emulator on Mac. I dunno.
Good luck with that.

With modern Intel-based Macs, one doesn't need to install a Windows emulator. One installs a real bonafide copy of Microsoft Windows instead.

(In other words, Intel-based Macs can run Windows natively. No stinkin' resource hogging emulator is necessary.)

So I'm god to go with this: Intel Core 2 Duo processor and OS X 10.6.8

Well, you do need to purchase a copy of Microsoft Windows and install it on your Mac first, using your Mac's built-in Boot Camp app.

The short answer is: Yes.

The long answer is: Yes, if you install a version of the Microsoft Windows O.S. (Windows XP and above) on your Mac.

As long as your Macintosh is an Intel Mac (it has an Intel CPU and not the older PowerPC CPU), then your Mac can run Windows with aplomb (in fact better than many dedicated Windows PC since a Mac running Windows doesn't have the crappy third-party Windows bloatware installed and the Windows software drivers that Apple uses are of very high quality).

In other words, Microsoft's ICE software (which is what Chick-on is using) won't run on the Mac's OS X operating system, but Intel Macs are designed so they can run the Windows OS that Microsoft's Photosynth ICE software needs.

And then there's another option (which is the option that I use).

I just use smartphones that have software installed that create these 720º panoramas automatically within the smartphone itself. Then all one needs to do is to upload the finished digital image to an appropriate website. For 720º Microsoft Photosynth panos, they get uploaded to Microsoft's Photosynth website, for Googles Photo Sphere panos, they get upload to Google's Google+ website (or to Google Map's website).

Creating these 720º panos with a smartphone is (as the Chick-on might say) easy-peasy!
